Tesla will build micro-factories for German vaccine maker CureVac. CEO Elon Musk of the maker of electric cars wrote this on Twitter after a visit to that company.
Musk and Tesla have not given further details.
CureVac is working on a vaccine against the coronavirus. The German company was in the news earlier this year because the United States would be interested in taking an original stake in the company to secure large quantities of vaccines.
Musk isn’t just for CureVac in Germany.
Tesla is building a new large factory near Berlin where it will, among other things, create the new smaller SUV Model Y. Musk may also visit German Minister of Economic Affairs Peter Altmaier.
