Dead After 14-Year-Old Opens Fire in Bangkok Shopping Centre

A shooting broke out in a large shopping centre in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, on Tuesday. Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin announced this.

 

A 14-year-old shot one person dead, and six others were injured.

The Siam Paragon shopping centre in central Bangkok is popular with tourists. Hundreds of people fled in panic when shots were suddenly heard. This was determined by a journalist from the French news agency AFP on the spot.

The police now say they have eliminated the perpetrator. This is a 14-year-old. It is not yet known what his motive was. There was initially talk of three deaths, but that number was adjusted to one on Tuesday afternoon. Six people are also said to have been injured.
