ChatGPT Makes Search Engine Available to All Users
Everyone can now use the AI chatbot ChatGPT as a search engine. According to experts, the function can become a significant competitor to the popular Google search engine.
Developer OpenAI introduced ChatGPT Search at the end of October, but until now, the tool was only accessible to paying users. From now on, anyone with an account with the AI chatbot can request information about current or upcoming events and receive an answer with corresponding links to websites.
Less Limited
“The new feature gives ChatGPT the ability to search the web for answers,” said Kevin Weil, product director at OpenAI. The chatbot is no longer limited to data collected up to a specific date.
More tech giants are betting on artificial intelligence. In 2023, Microsoft, the main investor in OpenAI, equipped its search engine Bing with AI functions. Market leader Google also added AI to its search tools at that time.
