An American woman who was in prison for involvement in drug trafficking died yesterday from the effects of the coronavirus.

30-year-old Andrea Circle Bear became a mother a month ago while on a ventilator.
Andrea Circle Bear was sentenced in January to more than two years in prison for knowingly allowing methamphetamine trafficking on her property.
She is believed to be the first female federal prisoner in the United States to die of the coronavirus, a total of 30 people in federal prisons have died from the effects of the virus to date.
