Benjamin Netanyahu was indicted in November for bribery, fraud and abuse of trust in three different cases. It is the foremost time in Israel’s history that an incumbent prime minister is being charged.
Netanyahu rejects the three charges and says he is the victim of a conspiracy. He accuses the police of putting pressure on witnesses.
After the Attorney General sent the charge to the President of Parliament on December 2, Netanyahu was given 30 days to apply for inviolability. So what he will do now.
In the meantime, Netanyahu remains the prime minister, and the third parliamentary election threatens to end in a year’s time in Israel in a referendum for or against Netanyahu.
