After his defeat in the 2020 US presidential election, “something snapped” in Donald Trump, and the ex-president has “clearly gone wild”. At least that is what his successor, Joe Biden claims, who will face Trump again in this fall’s presidential elections.
“It’s clear that … when he lost in 2020, something inside him snapped,” President Joe Biden addressed his supporters on Saturday at a benefit in Seattle, on the US West Coast. “Not only is he obsessed with losing in 2020, he is unhinged. Just listen to what he tells people.”
Although he believes he will face an “unhinged” opponent, Biden estimates that this year’s presidential elections will be a neck-and-neck race. “We have a good feeling, but we know it will be a close call,” Biden said.
According to an April poll from CNN, Republican candidate Trump beats Biden, with 49 percent compared to 43 percent. Trump does not have much time to focus on his election campaign.
In recent weeks, he has spent many of his days in court, where a criminal case is pending against him regarding the alleged illegal payment of hush money to porn actress Stormy Daniels, with whom he is said to have had a short-lived affair in 2006.
