Elon Musk Wants to Say Goodbye to Iconic Bird Logo Twitter

Twitter owner Elon Musk wants to change the Twitter brand and the iconic blue bird as a logo. “Soon we will say goodbye to the Twitter brand, and gradually from all birds,” Musk tweeted.

Musk, who bought Twitter for about $44 billion last year, has already spun the social networking site into a new company called X Corp. On Sunday, Musk posted an image of a flickering “X” with no further details. “If enough X logos are posted tonight, we’ll go live tomorrow,” Musk tweeted.

Musk has already expressed the idea of making Twitter an everything app where users can make payments, chat, read news, play games and shop. He also mentioned the name X., But Musk also responded positively on Twitter to an idea to make all his companies, such as Tesla, SpaceX, Boring Company and Twitter, part of one new company called X.

Since Musk generally likes to provoke, it’s unclear if he wants to make the change or just wants to cause a bit of a commotion. In April, for example, he had Twitter’s logo replaced for a few days with the symbol of the Dogecoin cryptocurrency. The price of the crypto coin, which Musk himself is a fan of, then went up for a while.
