WhatsApp Gets Reaction Emojis, Bigger Groups and Heavier Files
WhatsApp messaging app is going to increase the user limit of groups. The size of files that you can share is also increased.
The Meta subsidiary writes this on its blog. Basically, you can now create groups of 512 people. In addition, the file limit is now 2GB. Until now, you could send files up to a maximum of 100MB. WhatsApp seems to have been testing the new limit for several months.
A final novelty is emojis with which you can immediately respond to a statement. Comments are already in most messaging services from Discord to Slack but have been absent from WhatsApp until now.
It is not certain whether you will immediately see them in your own app. However, the changes are being rolled out gradually and should reach all users over the next two weeks.
