Trump’s Social Network will be Online from This Week
Donald Trump’s new social network, “Truth Social,” is being phased in this week and is expected to be fully operational by the end of March. The network comes in response to the ex-president’s ban on Twitter, among other things.
“We’re going to start opening the app to people on Apple this week,” Devin Nunes, head of Trump Media & Technology Group, the parent company of the new network, said in an interview with Fox News. “I think we’ll be fully operational by the end of March, at least in the US.”
“Trump presented truth Social” as an alternative to Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, from which he was barred after the storming of the Capitol on January 6 last year. The app is said to be available today/Monday.
“The time has come for the truth,” Donald Trump Jr. tweeted just last week. He also posted a photo of his father on the network with the message, “Get ready, and your favourite president will be welcoming you soon.”
