Paypal Now Not Interested in Taking Over Picture Site Pinterest
Payments company PayPal does not want “at this time” to take over the digital pinboard for images on Pinterest. The American company has announced this after rumours that PayPal would like to expand to social media in this way.
The Bloomberg news agency recently reported that the companies would be in talks about a possible merger based on insiders. A possible price tag has even been pasted on Pinterest.
The internet company would be worth 45 billion dollars.
Pinterest users can ‘pin’ images they find online and organize them by the theme to gain inspiration for the interior. Throughout the peak of the corona crisis, the site gained fame because people were mainly at home.
But last summer, the company acknowledged that interest in Pinterest had begun to wane after the relaxation of many corona measures.
