Trump Does Not Return to Twitter Despite Takeover by Musk
Former US President Donald Trump will not return to Twitter even if he gets his account back due to Elon Musk’s takeover of the social media company. He said that on the American channel Fox News.
“I’m not going back to Twitter; I’m staying with Truth,” he said. The former president referred to his own network Truth Social, which was launched in February. Trump says he will officially start his own account on the network in the next seven days.
“I hope Elon buys Twitter because he’s going to make improvements, and he’s a good guy, but I’m sticking to Truth,” Trump reiterated. After the storming of the Capitol in January 2021 by Trump supporters, he was banned from Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
Twitter announced Monday that it agreed to the acquisition by Musk. The richest man in the world pays about 44 billion dollars to take the company off the stock exchange.
