Tighter Measures To Stop Korean Growth in Corona Infections

The South Korean government has issued stricter measures to stem the growth in corona infections.

 

In the capital Seoul and the surrounding area, the rules for social distancing will be tightened, a curfew is in effect from 9 p.m., and public transport has been reduced by 30 percent after 6 p.m.

The country reported 631 new corona infections on Sunday. That is the highest number of days in nine months.

In the Asian country, a total of more than 37,500 people have been infected, and 545 people have died of Covid-19 disease, the Korean health service reports.

The measures will remain in effect at least until the end of December.
