The Video Service Zoom Sees Revenue Triple
Zoom is still reaping the benefits of the corona pandemic. The video conferencing software provider nearly tripled its revenue in the past quarter, outperforming analysts’ expectations.
In the first quarter of Zoom’s fiscal year, which ended in April, revenue was $956.2 million.
This is an increase of 191 percent compared to the same quarter a year earlier. Profit increased from $27 million to $227.4 million.
Despite the good results, Zoom is preparing for more and more employees to return to the office.
Therefore, CEO Eric Yuan also wants to promote Zoom as an internal telephone and video conference service at the office.
