Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has spoken out for the first time since being locked up last month while awaiting trial. The rapper took to Instagram to wish his daughter a happy birthday.

The post marks the rapper’s first public appearance since his September 17 arrest. He is accused of human trafficking, forcing victims to perform sexual acts, and setting up and maintaining a criminal organization. He will remain in custody until his trial, expected to begin on May 5, 2025, and will last a long time.

The facts cover twenty years, in the years 2000 and 2010, when the rapper was at the height of his fame. According to the lawyers, the victims were between 9 and 38 years old at the time of the facts. 25 victims were minors. Most victims are African-American, and a third are white. Over half of the victims reported the incident to the police or the hospital. Toxicological tests showed that some had horse tranquillizers in their systems.

Sexual predator
In recent months, more and more complaints of sexual assault against the 54-year-old Combs have surfaced. His victims describe him as a violent sexual predator who forced their consent with alcohol and drugs. The rapper himself denies this and claims to be innocent.

Parallel to the criminal proceedings, a civil lawsuit against P. Diddy is also ongoing, filed by more than 120 victims. In recent days, at least six people in New York have filed new lawsuits against Diddy. These are said to be complaints from men and women who say they were raped by the rapper. The rapper is also said to have abused a 16-year-old boy.
