Former leader of the British opposition Labor party, Jeremy Corbyn, is threatened with a fine of 200 pounds for violating corona rules.
The MP and his wife were recently at a dinner party in London with seven more people. Since mid-September, “the rule of six” has applied in England when visiting others to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
The British tabloid The Sun posted a picture of the dinner with “leftist activists, filmmakers and artists”. Corbyn, 71, has acknowledged the error and apologized, the newspaper said.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s father has also expressed regret. Stanley Johnson (80) was spotted in a store without a mask and photographed. In another tabloid, The Mirror, he goes through the dust.
The former politician says he was not fully aware of the latest rules due to a stay of three weeks abroad. Mouth masks have been mandatory in shops in England since July 24.
