A suicide bombing at the police station in Bandung, in the Indonesian province of West Java, killed a police officer and injured several others on Wednesday. That has been reported to the police.
The explosion occurred at around 8 a.m. local time at the police station in the Astanaanyar district of Bandung, the capital of Indonesia’s most crowded province. The suicide bomber was also killed.
The attack killed a police officer and injured ten people, including a passer-by. Before detonating the bomb, the terrorist had already attacked the officers with a knife.
A second explosive device was later found adjacent and safely detonated by the police bomb disposal squad. Authorities did not indicate a motive for the attack.
