Pfizer/BioNTech Delivers 50 Million Doses in the EU Early

The US-German pharmaceutical company Pfizer / BioNTech will deliver 50 million doses of the Covid-19 vaccine early.

The doses were intended for the second quarter.

Still, due to the problems with vaccines from AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson, the need is somewhat alleviated in this way, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced in Brussels.

“This once again proves that Pfizer / BioNTech is a reliable supplier,” said von der Leyen.

She confirmed that the day-to-day EU board is negotiating with the company to deliver an additional 1.8 billion doses.
