Microsoft Shows Surface 4 Laptop
Microsoft is updating its Surface laptops. The design remains unchanged, but the battery, among other things, will now last longer.
The Surface Laptop 4 comes in different versions depending on the processor and screen size.
With this screen size, you can choose between an AMD Ryzen 5 4680U (with 8GB RAM and 256 GB storage) or an Intel Core i5-1135G7 i7-1185G7 (11th generation) with 8 or 16 Gigabyte RAM.
If you want a slightly larger screen, you can choose between an AMD Ryzen 7 4980U (8GB RAM and 256 or 512 GB storage) or an Intel Core i7-1135G7 (with 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage).
All devices have a 720p webcam, Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi 6 and SSD storage. The main limitation is the number of connections. In addition to a 3.5mm headphone connection, the device only has one USB-C and one USB-A (the regular USB port) connection. That can be expanded via a dock that can be connected to the Surface Connect port.
The main novelty of the devices is that the battery lasts longer. For the heaviest model (15 inches with Intel CPU), this is up to 16.5 hours. For the lightest model (13.5 inches with AMD CPU), that is even 19 hours.
