Microsoft is Examining Whether Home Working Can Be Permanently Introduced
Microsoft is looking into whether home working can be permanently introduced due to the coronavirus crisis. This is evident from internal new guidelines.
Flexible working hours do not require the approval of a supervisor.
The news comes after Microsoft previously announced that most people would be able to work from home until mid-2021.
Jobs that necessitate a physical presence such as working in hardware labs, data centres and training remain in the office.
Furthermore, employees are allowed to move in the interior of the US after approval.
Relocation costs are then covered by the employee, while costs for the home office are covered by Microsoft.
