German health minister Karl Lauterbach wants his country to provide aid to Ukrainians injured by the war in their country.
The SPD politician made this known during an interview on the German radio station Deutschlandfunk.
On the one hand, this concerns treatment in Germany, but also the care of the wounded in the war-torn country itself. Lauterbach specifically mentioned help for people with severe burns and for people who have lost limbs and therefore need prosthetics.
Lauterbach met his colleague Viktor Lysjko on Thursday during his visit to Ukraine.
Several German ministers have travelled to the country since the start of the war, including Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock and Development Minister Svenja Schulze.
