European Stock Markets Lower Due to Concerns About US Support Package

Most European stock markets showed small losses on Wednesday due to concerns about US support package.

 

Investors processed the news that US President Donald Trump has pulled the plug on negotiations for a new bailout package for the world’s largest economy.

In addition, the minutes of the latest US central bank policy meeting was anticipated and released later today.

Trump announced via Twitter that he ordered his representatives to suspend negotiations with the Democrats about a new bailout package until after the elections in November.

On the contrary, US central bank president Jerome Powell warned that the lack of new stimulus measures jeopardizes the economic recovery.
