Elon Musk: Risk of Bankruptcy Twitter Has Been Averted
The direct risk of Twitter’s bankruptcy has been averted. That’s what owner Elon Musk of the messaging service said. According to him, the line towards a break-even result, the point at which Twitter no longer loses but also does not yet make a profit, has now started.
According to the businessman, the number of minutes users spend on Twitter is still going well.
Musk, who took control of Twitter at the end of October, called the past three months “extremely tough.” The billionaire was involved in a major reorganization at Twitter and was still in charge of day-to-day management at electric car manufacturer Tesla and aerospace company SpaceX. “I wouldn’t wish that pain on anyone,” the billionaire tweeted.
Twitter also made the first interest payment on the $12.5 billion loan. It was entered into by Musk to take over the social media company and is now on Twitter’s balance sheet. Recently, there have been several reports that Twitter would miss that payment. For example, the company did not pay rent for various office buildings.
