The DNA test results of the young Polish woman who claimed for a time that she was the missing toddler Madeleine McCann are known. And those results confirm the story of the police and her parents: Julia Wendel is Polish.
Julia Wendel, 21, set up an Instagram account in mid-February called @iammadeleinemccann. She then said she thought she was Maddie McCann. The British girl disappeared in 2007, shortly before her fourth birthday, from a rented holiday home in Praia da Luz, Portugal. There is no concrete evidence about the girl’s disappearance. Her body was also never found.
On Instagram, Wendel explained why she thinks she is the missing girl. For example, she referred to the fact that there are no photos of her childhood or during her mother’s pregnancy. She also pointed to physical similarities, such as the same rare eye defect.
The Polish police previously stated that the girl’s story was not correct. And the parents of the Polish also contradicted her. According to them, there are photos and memories, but the young woman is having a challenging time mentally. They were, therefore, bored with the situation.
Wendel was so convinced of her story that she took a DNA test to have concrete evidence. Those results are now known. And it turns out that Julia Wendel is indeed Polish. She also has Lithuanian and Romanian roots but is not a British toddler. Fia Johansson, a private investigator and psychic medium who assists Wendel, confirmed this.
