According to a spokesman for the United States Department of State, the United States has protested against China because diplomats had to undergo anal corona tests.
The Chinese government has pledged not to subject US diplomats to the tests anymore.
The ministry emphasizes that it has never agreed to use the test in question. An objection was immediately raised when it appeared that some employees had undergone the anal corona test.
Beijing has informed the Americans that a mistake has been made and that diplomatic personnel are excluded from the tests, which are mandatory for anyone who wants to travel into some parts of China.
The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs did not immediately comment. According to Chinese authorities, in some cases, the coronavirus can be more easily detected in a person’s anus than in the nose or throat.
