British Prime Minister Boris Johnson Ready to Leave Brexit Talks

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is ready to stop talking to the European Union about a trade agreement altogether.

He would like to do that if the EU does not return to its demands, writes the British newspaper The Sun.

The paper cites a source close to Johnson as saying that “there really is an end game now.” “If there is no movement at the end of the day Monday, then the question is at least asked whether it makes sense to continue,” said the initiate.

“We will not give in to EU demands that will prevent us from taking back control of the rules that Britons live under. It’s that simple.”

The Sun emphasizes that negotiations between the EU and the United Kingdom have been ongoing for four years, five months and fourteen days since the Brexit referendum.
