British Millions for Improving Ukraine Cyber Defenses

The United Kingdom will again help Ukraine improve its cyber defences. The British government makes 16 million pounds available to protect ‘critical infrastructure’ against Russia.

The British already released £ 6.35 million for the defence program last year. With the new support, Ukraine should be better able to detect, repel and prevent Russian cyber attacks. The money should also help collect evidence against the perpetrators.

The Russian invasion of Ukraine is not limited to the country alone, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak emphasizes.

In a statement announcing the support, he speaks of “sickening attempts at attacks against cyber infrastructure that provides vital services to innocent Ukrainians, from banking to energy supply.”
