Aviation group Air France-KLM will no longer publish monthly transport figures until further notice. Due to the corona crisis, comparisons with a year earlier are completely flawed.
The statistics for April, when the company grounded almost the entire fleet due to the crisis, were planned for Monday.
But when the transport figures for March were published, AF-KLM had already said that this was the last time for the time being.
The aviation sector is hit hard by the crisis. AF-KLM closed the first quarter with a loss of 1.8 billion euros.
This warned for an even less second quarter.
To save the company from destruction, France has pledged EUR 7 billion in aid. About 2 billion to 4 billion euros in emergency support from The Hague is still under negotiation.
