YouTube Shooting: Female Shooter Dead, 3 Wounded at California Headquarters. In case of a shooting at YouTube headquarters in San Bruno, California, at least three people have been injured. The female gunner has been found dead and presumably committed suicide.
Nothing is known about a motif yet, according to the California police during a press conference. One of the victims, a 36-year-old man, would be in a critical condition, reports a spokesman for the hospital in San Francisco.
The police officers found a total of three victims with gunshot wounds and eventually found the suspected shooter, who had already died. In the hospital there is also a 32-year-old woman in “serious condition” and a woman (27) whose condition is reasonable.
Several people called the emergency number after hearing the shots around 1:00 PM (local time). After the reports, the agents entered the building, where they found a “chaotic situation”. Employees of YouTube fled massively from the building.
President Donald Trump said in a first reaction that his thoughts are with the victims and the other people involved in the incident. He also thanks the police officers and other emergency services for their work.
A YouTube employee reports on Twitter that he has been hiding for some time with colleagues in a barricaded room. He was evacuated after about twenty minutes.
On images you can see how the police have been massively pulled out. Employees of the company walked out of the building with their hands up.
