Swiss Government Victim of Cyber Attack

The Swiss federal government suffered a cyber attack on Monday morning that prevented access to official websites and those of some government-linked companies. The government announces that.

A DDoS attack would be intended to disrupt a website’s normal functioning by sending many external requests. The group No Name, which already carried out a similar attack on the Swiss parliament last week, claimed responsibility.

“The specialists of the federal administration quickly noticed the attack and are taking measures to restore the accessibility of the websites and applications as quickly as possible,” it says in a press release.

In that press release, there are no further details about the hackers of ‘No Name’. The Swiss Center for Cyber Security is conducting the investigation.
