Spotify Launches Program to Grow Emerging Podcasters
Streaming service Spotify starts today with Radar Podcasters. The new program aims to give novice podcasters a boost by supporting them in growing their audience.
Radar Podcasters will be launched in fifteen countries, including the US, Brazil, France, Italy and the Netherlands. Each quarter, participating markets will spotlight two to three emerging podcasters. They are selected from the millions of podcasters who use Anchor, Spotify’s platform for creating podcasts.
Selected creators will be able to take advantage of editorial mentions in podcast playlists and community hubs to gain exposure “in the exact places listeners are,” a Spotify press release said.
The Radar Podcasters program isn’t Spotify’s first initiative to support podcasters in their growth. For example, the streaming service previously rolled out the Creator Space (including tips to make podcasts more successful), as well as a Discord channel where podcasters can communicate directly with other creators.
