Consumers Association Takes Volkswagen to Court Again Over Diesels

The German car group Volkswagen has no plans to sell its Italian sports car brand Lamborghini.

Volkswagen reports this after a British car magazine had said that an offer had been made for Lamborghini of 7.5 billion euros.

Autocar magazine reported on Tuesday that the Swiss Quantum Group wanted to buy Lamborghini together with a British investment company.

Volkswagen had said in November that it was looking at strategic options for Lamborghini and the Italian motorcycle brand Ducati, including a sale or IPO. A month later, it was indicated that both brands would still remain with Volkswagen.

Lamborghini is part of the Volkswagen group through subsidiary brand Audi. An Audi spokesman also said that the Italian sports car brand is not for sale.
