Twitter has again flagged a message from US President Donald Trump. The tweet, a video branded by CNN and titled “Terrified Toddler, Runs Away From Racist Baby” features the warning “Manipulated Media”.

The video shows two children, one white and one black, on a sidewalk. In just three hours, Trump’s tweet was shared 100,000 times and liked 212,000 times.

CNN responded in a private message with the link to the original report with the video of the two children playing, made in 2019.

Twitter later posted a blue exclamation point and the text “Manipulated Media” below the Trump-posted video.

“Several journalists have confirmed that the video shared by President Trump has been edited and has a fake CNN logo. The original CNN story from 2019 was about a friendship between two toddlers,” someone said.

CNN also commented: “CNN has reported this story exactly as it happened. Just as we said your views on race (and polls), we will continue to work with facts instead of tweeting fake videos and innocent children. We ask you to do the same. Be better. “

The platform, which Trump has gratefully used in recent years, increasingly intervenes in the tweets of the president. Since late May, several messages from Trump have been fact-checked.

When mass protests and riots occurred on the arrest of a white police officer after the death of black arrestee George Floyd and Trump threatened violence against rioters, Twitter decided to issue a warning to the president’s message that violence would be glorified.

Recently, Twitter deleted a video posted by Trump’s campaign team for copyright infringement.
