Trump Receives Standing Ovation in Israeli Knesset

US President Donald Trump received a standing ovation in the Knesset, the Israeli parliament. He was there to deliver a speech on the occasion of the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.

The deal was reached after Trump presented a 20-point peace plan. Trump has received widespread praise in Israel for his role in ending the war.

Beforehand, red caps in Trump’s signature style were distributed in the Knesset. These caps read: “Trump the President of Peace.”

Trump’s speech began with a nearly two-hour delay because he first met with family members of hostages and hostages who had already been released. The US president will fly to Egypt later on Monday, where he will chair an international summit on the Gaza Strip.
