Tesla to Build New Cybertruck Plant in Texas
The new Cybertruck will be built in the factory, which will be built on an area of about 2000 hectares.
Tesla has already received many orders for the electric pick-up truck unveiled in November. The company said it wants to start manufacturing at the end of 2021.
“Tesla is one of the most exhilarating and innovative companies in the world, and we are proud to welcome his team to the state of Texas,” said Texas Governor Greg Abbott.
Both states offered all kinds of benefits to persuade the automaker to settle there, including tens of millions of dollars in tax breaks.
The new factory in Texas would create at least 5,000 jobs in the short term. Musk said to consider number two in the competition, Tulsa in Oklahoma, for future production.
Cybertruck’s exhibition in November was dramatic.
The head design of the American car manufacturer wanted to demonstrate that the futuristic-looking vehicle is extra sturdy but accidentally destroyed two windows.
The design of the pick-up truck also caused divided reactions among connoisseurs.
