Suicide Bomb Kills 90 and Above 400 Injured in Afghanistan. One of the bloodiest attacks ever in Afghanistan’s capital, Kabul, has led to great defeat in the city.

The attack, involving at least 90 deaths and more than 400 injured, led to chaotic conditions at a nearby hospital. Ambulances drove off to deliver victims.

Motivated relatives reviewed lists of victims and asked hospital staff for information. Most victims seem to be Afghan citizens. Video footage shows burning debris, partly collapsed walls and destroyed cars.

A 21-year-old man with a head wound said the explosion “felt like an earthquake.” The crater that caused the bomb was huge.

Minister Bert Koenders of Foreign Affairs also responded to the attack: “I condemn the horrible and barbaric attack in Kabul this morning,” he said. “Our thoughts are with many, many victims and their families and friends.”

“This attack shows again that our support for Afghanistan and the development of the country is still needed. Together we fight against terrorism.

The heavy explosion took place in the embassy district. The embassy workers are fortunately safe and unharmed. They and their foreigner’s Colleagues are in the front line and deserve all our support, “said Koenders.
