200,000 Russians Drafted into the Army Since Mobilization

On Wednesday, the Russian Defense Ministry said that 498 Russian soldiers had been killed in Ukraine.

 

A further 1,597 have been wounded since the start of the Russian military operation in that country.

It is the first time Moscow has given a figure on its casualties from the invasion.

According to Interfax, the Russian defence ministry also said that more than 2,870 Ukrainian soldiers and “nationalists” had been killed, and about 3,700 injured.
