Who is the man charged with investigating Donald Trump? Robert Mueller, described as an austere and methodical man, was appointed, on Wednesday, April 17, the special prosecutor in the investigation into a possible collusion between relatives of Donald Trump and Russia.

At 72, former FBI boss under presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama won the respect of Republicans as Democrats, not hesitate to oppose the White House on practices he considered illegal.

“Mueller is a superb choice, an impeccable resume, and will be widely accepted,” said Republican MP Jason Chaffetz.

Robert Mueller can boast “of determination and independence of mind,” said Democratic Senator Richard Blumenthal, one of Donald Trump’s most vehement critics.
