The French car group Renault has signed an agreement with the unions about working from home.

As a result, thousands of company employees can work from home for up to three days a week if they wish.

About 20,000 Renault employees in France are expected to take advantage of the option, which, incidentally, does not apply to factory workers. The arrangement is voluntary.

In addition, two days a week can be worked from home, plus one extra day if the managers agree.

The option will apply from September and will be introduced in phases. Renault will offer support and training on how best to work from home.

Car company Stellantis, the parent company of brands such as Peugeot and Citroën, has made similar arrangements for French employees.
