Prince Andrew First Seen in Public Since His Controversial Interview. The British prince Andrew went to Christmas service today with his mother Queen Elisabeth II and some other British royals.

It is the first time that the Duke of York has appeared in public since the controversial interview he made regarding the Epstein case.

Andrew was photographed in the company of his brother Charles on his way to church service in St. Mary Magdalene church.

Sometime later, Queen Elisabeth II and Camilla also came to the service on the Sandringham estate, about 15 kilometres north of London. The British monarch usually spends the Christmas period there.

Princess Anne, Elisabeth’s daughter and Prince William and Kate also came to the service. The latter two brought their two oldest children, George and Charlotte. A little later, Princess Beatrice, one of Andrew’s daughters, also appeared.

Andrew became discredited after his links with controversial billionaire Jeffrey Epstein became known and a woman, Virginia Roberts, accused him of having sex with her when she was a minor.

After a controversial BBC interview in which he defended himself, he resigned all his public and therefore also royal functions.
