President Trump to Rollback Military and Travel Ties to Cuba. Just over a year ago, US President Obama awarded a cold war with Cuba at the end of half a century. Today, his successor, Trump, has reopened that argument.

He made a mark today by the deal with Cuba. According to Trump, it’s bad for the US. This means that Americans can no longer travel to Cuba and American companies can not do business with Cuba anymore.

For example, Trump wants to prevent US dollars from entering Cuba and used to hold a repressive military regime in the saddle. Cuba has been ruled by the Communist Party since Fifty years ago by Fidel Castro, now by his brother Raul.

Nevertheless, Trump also maintained some aspects of Obama’s deal with Cuba. For example, US airline companies and cruise ships may continue to do the island and also open the US Embassy in Havana, opened in 2014.

America drove off under Obama for a relaunch of the relationship with Cuba, because Raul Castro made the country freer. But critics also pointed out that the changes in Cuba went very slowly. Many Cubans fled to America found Obama to reward Cuba for shame reforms.
