President Donald Trump told voters on Thursday that it will be a disaster if Joe Biden wins the election in November.
He did so in a speech at Old Forge in swing state Pennsylvania, near the birthplace of his Democratic rival.
“Biden is your worst nightmare,” Trump said in Scranton hours before his competitor would accept the Democratic candidacy and address the population.
“He has spent half a century in Washington selling our country off, taking our jobs and allowing other countries to take our jobs.”
Trump tried to take Biden out of the spotlight on his “big day” by portraying the Democrat as someone who is going to raise taxes, open borders to “let in violent gangs” and leave the hardworking Americans to their own devices.
“If you want a picture of your life with Biden as president, think of the smoking rubble in Minneapolis, the violent anarchy of Portland, the blood-stained sidewalks of Chicago, and imagine the mess coming to your city.”
