In the United Kingdom, 1 million people have now been vaccinated against the coronavirus. British Health Minister Matt Hancock has announced this.

He says that “better times” lie ahead.

Hancock also points out that from Monday, the vaccination campaign’s pace will be accelerated, as the vaccination with the vaccine from the University of Oxford and the pharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca will start.

This drug is cheaper and easier to use than the Pfizer drug, which has been used alone.

The United Kingdom started vaccinating on Tuesday, December 8. That day, Margaret Keenan, then 90, became the first person in the world to receive Pfizer’s drug outside of a research setting.
