Lenovo has recorded a record turnover in the second quarter, it announces itself. The group had sales of $ 14.5 billion, an increase of 7% year over year. Profits also increased. Net profit adds up to $ 310 million, an increase of 53% from a year earlier.

So the world’s largest PC maker is doing remarkably well. In the first quarter, which ended in August, it also posted a net profit of $ 213 million, up 31% year-on-year.

Much may have to do with the current pandemic, which is causing businesses and schools to all work remotely, resulting in a growing demand for devices.

“As the world adjusts to the ‘new normal,’ we are confident in our ability to continue to grow in the long term, for both devices and cloud infrastructure,” said Yuanqing Yang, Lenovo CEO in a release.

The Chinese company believes that the global PC market, which has been in a bad state for a long time, will continue to grow at the end of this year.
