Heads of state and government of the G20 countries will meet virtually this weekend.

They talk, among other things, about protecting lives and restoring growth by addressing the economic vulnerabilities exposed during the corona pandemic.

During the conference call, an action plan will be presented and discussed for fair access to a future corona vaccine. This is necessary to avert the corona crisis and for the global recovery of the economy.

The summit follows on from the previous G20 leaders’ special video conference on March 26 on coordinating the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.

The European Union will be represented by Charles Michel, the President of the European Council, and Ursula von der Leyen, the President of the European Commission.
