Hungary Approves Chinese Corona Vaccine

The Hungarian medicine watchdog has approved the Chinese corona vaccine Sinopharm for use. It is the second vaccine approved by Hungary outside the European Union after Russia’s Sputnik-V.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said Friday morning that he could deal with China on Friday or Saturday to stock up on the vaccine.

Orbán still wanted to wait and see how the vaccination in Serbia would go, and an effective vaccination campaign was recently started with the drug of Sinopharm.

Hungary could have vaccinated 1.7 million people by March using the Chinese drug.

The prime minister said he would prefer to be vaccinated with the Sinopharm vaccine, which he says is the most reliable.
