Russian gas company Gazprom continues to supply gas to Europe through the gas pipeline that runs through Ukraine.
According to the company, this is in line with the request of European users.
Within Europe, the call for a boycott of Russian gas is getting louder. But an import ban is sensitive because that sanction can cause significant economic damage to some EU countries.
The European Union depends on Russia for about 40 percent of its natural gas.
