Flooded English Hospitals Ask Patients to Stay Away

London’s Newham and Whipps Cross hospitals ask patients to stay away because they have been flooded, British media reported. Ambulances are also being diverted.

An entire ward at Whipps Cross would be without power, forcing a hundred patients to be evacuated.

The English capital had to deal with heavy rain on Sunday. Due to the rain, streets were flooded, and metro stations had to be closed.

The London Fire Brigade has already received more than 600 reports of flooding problems. Roads and buildings have been flooded, ceilings have collapsed, and vehicles have become stuck in the water. The water company Thames Water has set up an emergency team.

In the southeast of England, code yellow still applies for thunderstorms on Monday. There is also a risk of flooding here.
