Black Murderer George Floyd Admits Guilt in New Case

White ex-cop Derek Chauvin, the killer of black American George Floyd, admits he violated Floyd’s civil rights during his arrest. Chauvin pleaded guilty in this new case against him, which is pending in a Minnesota court.

He had pleaded not guilty in September. The 45-year-old Chauvin risked life, but the judiciary asked for a lighter sentence of 25 years by pleading guilty. Chauvin was sentenced earlier this year to 22.5 years for Floyd’s death last year.

A possible new sentence is being settled, which means that Chauvin has to serve no more than 2.5 years longer, American media report.

The then police officer knelt on the handcuffed Floyd’s neck for nearly nine minutes during his arrest. A bystander filmed Floyd losing consciousness. The images sparked global outrage and sparked massive protests in the United States and elsewhere against police brutality and racism.
