Bitcoin Company and DNB in Court for Too Strict Rules

27

Bitcoin company Bitonic wants to know from the court whether the regulator (DNB) with its crypto rules is too strict for providers of digital coins.

Bitonic believes that the requirements set by DNB conflict with the privacy rules. The case will be brought to the administrative judge in Rotterdam later on Tuesday.

According to the regulator’s rules, crypto providers must verify who it really is of every buyer of bitcoins.

Bitonic indicates that it wants to carry out checks on who buys bitcoins but based on its own risk considerations.

One of the conditions is that companies indicate where their customers got the invested money from and check that they are not on a sanction list.
