Archers Deliberately Chose Jewish Supermarket New Jersey for Shooting
Archers Deliberately Chose Jewish Supermarket New Jersey for Shooting. The Jewish supermarket in the American city of Jersey City, where two gunmen opened fire for hours on Tuesday, was deliberately chosen.
Mayor Steven Fulop announced this based on, among other things, the camera footage of the incident in which a total of six people died.
One of the two perpetrators left online anti-Semitic statements, as well as hate reports against the police. The New York Times reports that.
Although Fulop does not immediately say that the crime is anti-Semitically motivated, he does write on Twitter that “hatred and anti-Semitism” have never had a place in Jersey City.
“I am Jewish myself, and I am proud to live in Jersey City, which has always been hospitable to every visitor,” he added.
Also, the mayor of New York, Bill de Blasio, knows the shooting of a growing anti-Semitism and ordered his police force to protect Jewish buildings better.
